Fractracker is a website managed by the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Healthy Environments & Communities (CHEC). As part of their research on the impacts of Marcellus Shale gas extraction, this blog & its associated data tool, (hosted by the Foundation for PA Watersheds & funded by the Heinz Endowments), provide citizens with a common place to share their Marcellus Shale drilling experiences.

Press Conference to Announce New Coalition

Groups and individuals concerned about fracking in the Marcellus Shale held a press conference on July 29th at 6:30pm outside the Teamster's Temple in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The press conference preceded a Marcellus Shale panel discussion organized by the Office of Councilman Patrick Dowd.
