Toxic Trespass fracking legislation passes in Pittsburgh Council

Pittsburgh City Councilman Doug Shields’ ‘Toxic Trespass’ legislation was voted on yesterday and passed by a 5 to 4 vote in council. ‘Toxic Trespass’ bans regional and state governments from permitting corporations to dump toxins from fracking activities into the body of any resident of Pittsburgh, or into any natural community or ecosystem. These actions will be considered a form of trespass.
