Coalition to Protect New York

CPNY is a coalition of individuals and groups dedicated to resisting "corporatocracy" and the subversion of democracy. Over the last 150 years, large corporations have acquired an obscene amount of influence on our cultural and political processes. We are initially working to halt the dangerous and destructive practice of slickwater high-volume hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") for methane gas in our region, which represents the many barriers we must overcome to achieve our vision of true community rights-based democracy.
