Gas Drilling Awareness Wyoming/Lackawanna County

We've been working with the Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition (GDAC) in Dallas, PA for a while. The folks down in Luzerne County have some really drastic and imminent problems to confront and we've been throwing them our support....because after all, their plight is our plight. We've also been throwing in our support to those folks in the other northeastern PA counties who need it ... and that means just about every one of those counties.

The issue here in Wyoming and Lackawanna Counties, though, is heating up. Time to get ahead of the game and TRY to slow down the runaway train. So, because Dallas is really quite a distance from most of us...and we live on the Lackawanna/Wyoming County line ...we thought we'd start up an extension of the Gas Drilling Awareness Coalition.

We don't much care whether you're a local or whether you're from outside the area. What we need is some dedicated people to call their legislators on all of the issues, write letters to the newspapers, talk to their neighbors, read the PA Bulletin, enlist the service of attorneys, put up signs, walk the streets handing out flyers.
