Action - PSU - Frack the phone lines
The "Father of the Marcellus Shale" Terry Engelder is a known sympathizer and cheerleader for the Natural Gas Industry. Mr Engelder has authored industry friendly reports, given slideshow presentations to US Representative Joesph Peterson, one of the "dirtiest" Congressmen past 20 years, and he owns a business called Appalachia Fracture Systems Inc.
Mr Engelder is reluctant to talk about his business, which is a Marcellus Shale consulting firm for prospective homeowners, geologist and shale companies.
He has been quoted supporting forced pooling in the Marcellus Shale, an agenda that even Governor Tom Corbett is against. When Engelder was showing an example of a homeowner who was holding out on signing their property leases to the gas company, and had a potentional $20 million loss for the industry, he said : “This is not what the oil and gas conservation law of 1961 intended as an outcome.”
On September 19th, the eve of the Marcellus Shale Convention in Philadelphia, lets jam Penn State's Geoscience's phone lines and ask them what does Terry Engelder stand for? Science or the Natural Gas Industry?
