Gas-drilling seminar to be held Thursday in Corry
An educational seminar on nonconventional gas-lease drilling will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Corry Area High School auditorium.
The seminar is free and open to the public.
Melissa Troutman, of the Mountain Watershed Association, is scheduled to speak. She is working to educate and inform residents and landowners about drilling.
Also scheduled to speak are Jill Kriesky, a senior project coordinator with the University of Pittsburgh's graduate school of public health; and Erika Staff, a clean water advocate for Penn- Environment, which promotes policies that protect and preserve Pennsylvania's waterways.
