Allegheny County Health Dept. - Public Meeting

The next public meeting of the Allegheny County Board of Health will be held Wednesday, March 6, in the Main Conference Room of the ACHD Downtown office.

Public comment is invited, limited to 3 minutes for each speaker. Requests to speak must be made 24 hours before the meeting. Use the online form or call (412) 687-2243.

You may want to address the Board of Health on one of the following topics:
  • The December 24, 2018, fire at US Steel's Clairton plant, and the ACHD response to lose of pollution control at this plant.
  • The intermodal frac-sand transportation terminal (MRIE) in McKees Rocks, and the public health hazard of air-borne silica dust.
  • US Steel's announced plans to drill a frac well inside the Edgar Thomson plant, and ACHD's refusal to confront this threat to community health.

Remember to contact the Health Department at least 24 hours before the meeting if you wish to be recognized to speak.
